Abrivado beach

Abrivado on the Mediterranean beach near the village of Les Saintes Marie de la mer, which hosts the annual gypsy pilgrimage. This is a place where Camargue traditions are very present and respected: a parade of Arlésiennes in costume, abrivado, bandido and Camargue races. The Abrivado, considered by the festival-goers to be one of the major spectacles of the festivities, consists of the gardians on horseback bringing four free-roaming bulls from their pastures to the arena.
