Marc Guyot

A contemporary French painter inspired by the light, energy, and traditions of Southern France.

Marc Guyot was born in 1957 in Nîmes, in the South of France. He lives and paints in Marsillargues, near the Camargue, a remarkable region of wetlands, open landscapes, horses, bulls, and centuries-old traditions.

Growing up in this environment gave him an intimate connection to its distinctive light, colors and atmosphere. Rather than discovering the South as an outsider, Marc has always lived within its rhythms. The intense summer heat, brilliant sunlight, wide-open skies and vibrant traditions of the region have naturally become part of his artistic language.
