Painting Light and Movement

Marc Guyot is an accomplished draftsman with a strong instinct for movement.

Horses galloping through water, bulls crossing the landscape, gardians on horseback, village scenes and quiet moments in nature all provide inspiration for his work.

But the subject is only the starting point.

Through energetic brushwork, expressive color and a free approach to composition, the Painter seeks to capture the emotion and atmosphere of a moment rather than simply reproduce what he sees. His paintings combine recognizable forms with areas of abstraction, allowing light, color and movement to become subjects in their own right.
